* We administer the Satellite Remote Sensing Committee that promotes from a technical standpoint the utilization of satellite data.
* By promoting partnership and cooperation among industrial, academic, and governmental communities, we administer the ALOS Space Data Utilization Council, which aims to promote the utilization of satellite data such as from ALOS and which also provides various services and proposals from the user standpoint.
* We promote pilot projects by cooperating with various organizations both domestic and foreign.
* We support the activities that promote international cooperation that affects Earth observation such as CEOS and GEO.

We are the primary providers of ALOS data and the agency for the distribution of the data from all Earth observation satellites monitored by JAXA and other satellites listed below:
