Satellite observation data are used along with various data archived in respective Geodetic Information Systems (GIS) for administrative tasks such as land management, fisheries management, and disaster monitoring by national and local governments. Data are also used for the research of environmental issues such as global warming, ozone hole, and changes in the global climate . Also, images are used as the background images of flight simulator games and car-navigation software.
